There are many variations of high heels including stilettos, stacked and tapered heels. Stilettos speak for themselves; they are the most well-known member of the heels family. Stilettos are Marilyn Monroe’s choice of formal heels. Marilyn Monroe loved shoes and was known for her stilettos and the famous wiggle of her walk. While they are classy and ooze confidence, stacked heels provide a sturdier heel than stilettos. They achieve this while adding elegance to any outfit. Opt for a strappy style for formal occasions, or an enclosed shoe or sling back for everyday wear.

For added height, without creating back or feet strain, platforms are a great solution. Platforms raise the ball of the foot as well as the heel, offering a greater overall height. With a one inch platform, a heel of three inches is equivalent to a two-inch heel without platforms. Platforms offer bonus height with improved comfort and stability.

We carry brands that are available in UK, AUS (US equivalent) and EU sizes, so when selecting your size and width please take careful note of the size you are selecting. It is important to note that sizes and widths vary across brands so the sizing guide should be used as a guide only.

TIPS ON GETTING THE RIGHT FIT

If you are shopping online, use our sizing guide to measure your foot with a tape measure. Taking time to properly measure your foot will save time later if you order the wrong size! If you are shopping in store, our staff take the time to properly measure both your feet using a Brannock device.

When browsing for new shoes, look for toe shapes that will suit the shape of your feet.

Consider the socks and stockings you will be wearing and allow for some extra space. If you have orthotics, consider these too.

Once your shoes arrive, try them on at the end of the day, take a walk around the house (on carpet to avoid marking the soles) and do not assume your shoes will loosen if they’re too tight. If you believe you have ordered the wrong size or width, please contact us.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SIZES AND WIDTHS?

We carry footwear in Australian sizes 4-12. There is approximately 4mm between half-size increments.

We carry footwear in widths AA, B, C, D and E - 4E. AA is the narrowest width while 4E is the widest. There is approximately 6.3mm difference between widths.

We remind you that sizes to vary from brand to brand so please select your size and width carefully.
